We here at Jimmy's Lawn Sprinkler Services believe 100% in the use of rain sensors,
Water is our most precious resource and we need to protect it and not waste it, We put one in on every Lawn Sprinkler System we Install, We also suggest them to all homeowners we service that do not have a Rain Sensor Installed on their Lawn Sprinkler System, Many people believe Rain Sensors do not work but in fact they do, some reasons for thinking they do not work are: I woke up my sprinklers were on and it was raining, Reason: Maybe it just started raining and the minimum setting is 1/8" of rain must fall before it will turn your Lawn Sprinkler System Off, and maybe your Rain Sensor is set for 1/4" or 1/2" Just know that it is not human and it is not going to run inside and shut off the Lawn Sprinklers the second it starts raining and be sure the Lawn Sprinkler Controller is not set to "bypass" It has not rained in 2 days and my Lawn Sprinklers still do not come on I think that Rain Sensor is broken. Reason: we had 2-4 inches of rain 2-3 days ago and that is enough to keep your garden watered for the week and the Rain Sensor knows that as it dries out at the same pace as soil depending on the Rain Sensor settings you need to give it time to dry out, that's the way it works, Lastly where is your rain sensor installed? Does it have clear exposure to sun and rain? or was it installed un der a roof overhang where it may never get wet? For a rain sensor inspection just give us a call, Shared a video below hope you got some value from this, Just wanted to share this Garden Girl video to show what is possible and what is involved hope you get value check it out |
