September is normally a good month for Lawns because of ample rainfall, however there is a growing problem other than the lack of rain and that is "in my opinion" Fertilizer,
I have been called to several homes in the Month of September for brown grass and what I found they all have in common is Fertilizer as seen in photo on left, all the small white dots are Fertilizer pellets and I believe is the cause of the Brown Lawn "Fertilizer Burn"
All the Lawn Sprinkler Systems were on and working well, so my suggestion is this, and again its just my opinion,
If you are going to use a Fertilizer, Weed Killer, Grub Killer Program you should be sure you are using a Certified Applicator who will use the proper products at the proper times of the season with the proper application tools, I have seen people throwing who knows what on Lawns by hand like it was chicken feed, Fertilizer is not chicken feed and it can and will Kill your Lawn when used incorrectly.
